Sweater Vest Three Ways

We have all seen the famous sweater vest come back this season and honestly I wasn’t expecting it but it’s soooooo cute if styled right. Believe it or not but the piece I styled below is actually vintage from my grandmother that passed away this past June. She used to go to gatherings with friends and she met a woman who was amazing at knitting. My grandmother picked up some skills from her and knitted a whole bunch of things that you will probably see pop up here and there, but one of them was this sweater vest! I was going to buy one until I saw this little number and was like I would be crazy not to style it, so here we are ladies. From my grandmother to you, THE ICONIC SWEATER VEST!

Since the sweater vest I have is oversized i decided to throw it over a dress shirt and pair it with knee high boots. If you have a smaller vest you can buy a dress shirt dress so you don’t have to wear bottoms.

For this look I kept the dress shirt but undid the buttons so i can wear it more so like a cardigan. I also have a photo of me wearing it tucked in a bit in the front. Pair it with a pair of your favorite pumps or heels and voila! Effortless and chic.

I wanted to do an edgier look with the sweater vest for those who don’t really like the grandma look 😉 So here you go. I paired the vest with a turtleneck, leather leggings and some combat boots. Voila! Also look at this cute little photobombed. All she wanted was a good rub.
